The colored glass bead, in the middle of the ring, comes from a pre-war necklace found at a flea market. Stack a couple of rings with different colored glass beads together and you get something that looks oddly like the iconic blocks of striped jelly once sold by the gram in the Polish communist-era grocery store – Społem.
